ProtoPotsdam completes the cycle: A pavilion on the move

Our pavilion “ProtoPotsdam,” which has served as a real-world laboratory for regenerative transformation in the heart of Potsdam since 2023, isn't simply closing its doors – it's closing the material cycle. As a flagship project for circular construction using regional timber and local clay bricks, the structure is now moving to the European Training Center for Clay Building in Wangelin. To shape this transition in the spirit of a truly circular bioeconomy, we are designing the deconstruction as an active learning project: Together with the European Training Center for Clay Building, we are initiating the “Urban Mining Bundle: Deconstruction School for Wood & Clay” and invite everyone to experience the practice of deconstruction firsthand on site.
