Initially I wanted to live in a close to nature community, to embrace communal living, shared meals and processes. With the construction revolution (Bauwende) I realised: it shouldn’t be a beautiful four sided farmstead, but an unattractiv building saved from demolition, renovated in a circular and ecological manner. From Berlin, I’m off to the Palatinate! (The Pfalz is the area in very Westgermany, above Saarland)

As a girl I turned my doll’s house upside down to create new space, drew endless floor plans on rolls of wallpaper, and then studied art history for love to sacred spaces. I owe my construction knowledge to my training as a draughtswoman, and to my training in geoculture the ancient wisdom of spaceclearing and guiding people out into nature on a vision quest. As a yoga teacher I learnt to guide them back to their centre, and as an end-of-life companion, to create safe space for letting go. Meanwhile, many years as a communication designer and in architectural office management, as well as intensive community processes, have shaped my working style and my enthusiasm for simple building and alternative forms of living.

I love ceramics, bees and – people. And because these are still missing at the start of my community-building, I will travel through the Palatinate to find them. Together, we’ll find the close to nature site with unattractive buildings, which we’ll renovate using ecological and circular methods, creating a multi generational place for living and building, with a wider regional appeal: workshops for tiny houses or recycled materials, paludi or hemp cultivation, research in clay bricks or straw bales – everything is possible.

Anyone who would like to join in founding, building and living is warmly welcome, anyone who'd like to get to know me during Action Week or actively support my initiative in the Pfalz – please check the dates, as everything will be at very short notice, or feel free to drop me a line at: a4fgehtdiePfalz@mailbox.org
