Frugal conversion of rural buildings into a school

Considering that the future builds upon what already exists and upon the hope our children embody to envision a desirable future, the "Frugalité Heureuse et Créative" collective of Hauts-de-France invites you to visit the Roches Bleues school.

This project demonstrates the possibility of enhancing our existing environments to foster the healthiest and most fulfilling learning conditions possible for the chlidren and their teachers.

Balancing the enhancement of existing structures with the use of innovative, non-standard techniques (such as sprayed light earth insulation), the project’s aesthetic, through its materiality, also embodies values ​​of sobriety, health, and local economy.

The tour will be led by the key players who contributed to the project, offering insight into the inner workings of a frugal project and a chance to discuss the obstacles and enabling factors:
