Sustainable Renovation of Existing Buildings Using Bio-based Materials: The Example of a Small End-of-Row House from the 1920s

Preservation and energy-efficient renovation are key to a sustainable building stock. In particular, the renovation of owner-occupied single-family homes presents both great potential and significant challenges. The example building is part of a housing estate built in 1928, surrounded by numerous identical buildings.
