NAA! Podcast

What does a socially just future for the built environment look like? Join us for three conversations exploring sustainability, collective organising, workers’ rights, and justice across the built environment. From making sustainability fair for both people and planet, to understanding the struggles facing architects, urbanists and landscape professionals in the Netherlands, to building collective power through community-led — we’ll ask how we can transform our professions and our cities together.

For the European Action Week, NAA! will host a series of three conversations exploring the realities of architectural labour and its relationship to the social and environmental transformation of the built environment.

Architectural labour is often invisible, undervalued and poorly understood, even by workers themselves. Through these conversations, NAA! aims to make labour rights more accessible, discussable and actionable, while creating connections and solidarity between architectural workers across Europe.

The three episodes:

6 September 2026: The Future Is Not Just Green — It Has to Be Fair

Focusing on sustainability not only as a way of designing and working in the build environment but also as a way of sustaining human resources in the filed.

10 September 2026: What is up in NL?

What is Acan NL doing, including their actions around demolition problems and Action Week, legal divisions between architects, urbanism and landscape architects, the real life struggles of CAOs and struggles within these professions.

13 September 2026: Building Collective Power Across Europe

A conversation with invited guest about how community-led action can challenge top-down housing policies and build collective power.

Each conversation will bring together NAA! members and invited guests to discuss workers’ rights, collective organising, labour and climate, and the challenges of transforming the built environment in a socially just way.

The three episodes will be recorded and posted during the European Action Week. The podcast will be published on major audio platforms.
