DENK MAL GLARUS
Exhibition on heritage and demolition at Freulerpalast Glarus From 22.08-31.10.2026
Countdown 2030 is guest at the Museum of the Canton of Glarus and is contributing to the exhibition "DENK MAL GLARUS" (double meaning: think about it + heritage Glarus). The preservation of historical monuments plays a central role in the architectural heritage of the Glarus region. It fosters an awareness of the value of protected buildings and townscapes. These shape the cultural identity of the region as well as the landscape of the Alps. In light of climate change, the preservation of historical monuments also provides an effective form of environmental protection. The exhibition juxtaposes lost and still-existing buildings and presents an overview of successful examples from the Glarus region. It is being developed by Glarus architects Reto Fuchs and Andreas Ruby at the invitation of the cantonal office for the preservation of historical monuments and townscapes, and is supplemented by guest contributions from the Countdown 2030 and Klima Glarus associations.
