Apéro and Gossip-Mapping

What is life like in the terraced houses of the Parisian suburbs in times of rising temperatures?

We’ll be exploring this question at our apéro in the Maladrerie. Designed by architect Renée Gailhoustet in the 1980s, these terraced houses are regarded as pioneering examples of dense, sustainable and, at the same time, liveable urban development. But how are they used and maintained today?

At the apéro with neighbours and anyone else interested, we’ll exchange views on current neighbourhood issues through informal conversations and, whilst taking a walk through the area, learn about the everyday realities of the residents of the social housing blocks in Saint-Denis and Aubervilliers that are at risk of demolition. Through ‘gossip mapping’, we’ll invite residents to pinpoint the secrets and anecdotes of their unique neighbourhood on a map.

Meeting point: Maladrerie, Aubervilliers (exact location to be announced)
