Frugalité Heureuse et Créative - Groupe Limousin

The Movement for a Happy and Creative Frugality was built around the Manifesto of the same name, launched on January 18, 2018, by Dominique Gauzin-Müller (architect-researcher), Alain Bornarel (engineer), and Philippe Madec (architect and urban planner). Recognizing "the heavy share of responsibility of builders" in the ongoing disasters, this manifesto calls for the development of human settlements that are frugal in energy, materials, and technology, as well as creative and happy for the Earth and all its inhabitants, both human and non-human.

An international movement was born from it, diverse and decentralized, driven by local, regional, national, or thematic groups, and supported by the Happy Frugality association. Today, it is brought to life by multiple initiatives, offering visits, conferences, meetings, workshops, training sessions, publications, knowledge sharing, and numerous development tools such as this website or the collaborative mapping of frugal resources.
